Staycation Part One: The Tellus Museum

We'd been wanting to visit the new science museum in Cartersville and decided to do so on our first ever "staycation". There was all kinds of fascinating dinosaur fossils, a planetarium, a transportation history room, an area for kids to discover magnets, senses, and on and on..., but the best part for my kids was the panning for jewels and the fossil dig. We stayed in the panning room for a seeming endless amount of time as all three of them collected jewels for their bags to take home with an identifying sheet. They had to choose one fossil to take home, and of course, we looked and looked until we procured dinosaur teeth for everyone.
